Sign In Procedure At Pineview

All parents, visitors and volunteers to the school must report to the main office.

Pineview Parking Lot

Many of our students are bussed to and from school. If you are dropping off your child, please walk your child to the either the Kindergarten Gate (if your child is in Kindergarten) or the West Gate for morning drop off.

Student Pick Up Area

Students in Grades 1 to 5 that are being picked up by a parent/guardian/caregiver are to meet the student at the west side of the school at dismissal time (2:55pm). Students in Kindergarten are picked up at their Kindergarten class outdoor area.

Absence Check / Safe Arrival

In the event that your child should be absent or late please call the attendance line 1-877-409-6310 or go to hdsb.schoolconnects.com. This service is available 24-hours a day and you can record the absence or late at anytime. Your child’s absence or late arrival to school must be reported before 8:40 a.m. on the day of the absence. If you have a planned vacation, or appointments that are coming up, please ensure that you have included this information on the portal as well. Future absences can be left at any time. The absence check program is an important part of Pineview’s Safe Schools Policy.

Students late for school

Students who arrive late for class must report to the office before proceeding to his/her class.

Leaving During The School Day

When you arrive to the school, please buzz the office to inform us you are picking up your child and we will call your child to the front door. We appreciate you letting your child's educator know that your child will be picked up during the school day.
